About Drifter
Drifter was bought as a 3 year old by David and his family. Before being bought, Drifter was a stallion
and did breed some mares. He was quickly gelded and trained shortly after being bought.
Drifter has been trail ridden over hundreds of miles, he has been hunted off of (rabbit hunting, and he hates
the sound of a gun but will put up with it when there is someone on him or holding him). He has also drug deer out of
creeks.
Drifter was broke to drive shortly before David and I were married, and he pulled us in a buggy afterwards
to the park for the reception. Shortly he found new "jobs" as a lesson horse, and a therapuetic riding horse. He
now spends most of his time watching over the mares and foals and trying to keep the peace between all the "women folk"
in the pasture!
Drifter is still one of the first horses we pull out for new riders to ride, and the one used to check fence on.
He also still enjoys an occasional trail ride, and loves it when the boys or other kids want rides. Drifter is
truly a one of a kind horse and will have a home with us forever.
